Cala Macarella (Menorca) – located 10 minutes from the local town of Ciutadella, this is one of Menorca’s better-regarded beaches. It’s within a cove and the waters are calm. The forested landscape surrounding the cove helps make this beach stand out from others elsewhere – which usually are in flatter areas. Fortunately for visitors here, there is a place to eat close by: Susi restaurant (known for their tapas).
